Technical Sales Representative – Instrumentation and Controls

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative in our industry to join our team.
Reporting to our VP of Sales and located in Edmonton, AB. The position has the following responsibilities:
•Organize, manage and expand sales activities within an established territory by establishing a yearly sales plan towards meeting an annual objective
•Usage of existing CRM to manage all sales related activities from lead to order
•Promote Novatech’s products and services to existing and new customers
•Maintain and develop business relationship with customer base
•Develop product and analytical solution expertise
•Emphasize product features based on analysis of customers’ needs, and on technical knowledge of the product capabilities and limitations
•Demonstrate and explain the operation and use of products
•Stay well informed of activities in the territory
•Assist Inside Sales in preparation of quotations and proposals
•Work in collaboration with our BDM, Analyzer Expert, Service and Integration teams
•Participate in exhibitions, shows, seminars and other promotional events

Qualifications and Skills
•Industry and/or sales experience of 5 years
•Engineering or BSc. degree or college diploma in relevant discipline
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong computer skills (SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
•Independent, self-motivated to learn, adaptable to change
•Friendly, energetic and outgoing, team player
•Attention to detail, organized, autonomous
•Positive attitude
•Communications and time management skills
•Valid driver’s license
