Novatech Hosts Gasmet FTIR Gas Analysis Seminar

Thursday November 21, 2013

Novatech was proud to host 2 half-day seminars on November 18th and 19th at its Mississauga facility highlighting Gasmet’s FTIR (Fourier Transform InfraRed) technology and its applications for stack testing, process analysis, and air quality analysis.  The seminars were well attended by personnel from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, and a number of local stack testing contractors.

Presentations of Gasmet’s FTIR analysis theory, along with some hands-on sessions with the equipment were led by Luc Sevrette – Manager, CEM Products at Gasmet Technologies Inc.  The versatility of the Gasmet DX4000 portable analyzer was demonstrated with an impromptu test of of a Novatech salesperson’s vehicle’s emissions!  Gasmet’s FTIR technology can measure dozens of different compounds simultaneously, and further help in the identification of hundreds of other compounds which may also be present in the sample.
